Accessibility statement

This statement covers the getendorsed website at getendorsed.co.uk, including the signed-in dashboard.

Last reviewed: 8 September 2026.

How accessible this site is

Parts of this site are not fully accessible. We are not claiming conformance we have not earned, so here is the position in plain terms.

getendorsed is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some specific, listed parts do not.

The problems below are real, they are ours, and they are written down here because you are more likely to be helped by knowing about them than by a page telling you everything is fine.

Problems we know about

Each item says what the barrier is and who it affects. Every one was confirmed in our own code, not assumed.

Colour contrast below the required ratio

Several colours used for small text and for interface boundaries do not meet the 4.5 to 1 ratio that WCAG 2.2 requires for normal text, or the 3 to 1 ratio it requires for interface components. In the light colour scheme:

  • The green used for success and for "criterion met" labels measures 3.16 to 1 against the page background. It is often set at 12 pixels, which makes it harder again to read. This was recorded in our own audit on 12 August 2026 and has not yet been fixed.
  • The blue used for informational labels measures 3.53 to 1 against the page background.
  • White text on the amber warning background measures 2.98 to 1.
  • Grey secondary text measures 4.40 to 1 when it sits on a muted grey panel, which is the background used throughout the legal pages. On the ordinary page background the same grey passes at 4.63 to 1.
  • Border and divider lines measure between 1.22 and 1.34 to 1. If you rely on borders to tell where one card or input ends and the next begins, they may be effectively invisible to you.
  • In a few places, secondary text is rendered at reduced opacity, which drops it as low as 1.98 to 1. Examples are the excluded-feature labels on the pricing page and the timestamps in the voice interview transcript.

In the dark colour scheme most of these pass. The exceptions are white text on primary blue buttons, at 3.68 to 1, and the same border and divider lines.

Four cards in the dashboard cannot be operated by keyboard

In the bulk applications list, the support ticket list, and the document generation screen, some cards are clickable but are not buttons and are not reachable by tabbing. If you navigate by keyboard or use a screen reader, you cannot select a bulk job, open a support ticket, or choose a document template from those cards. There is no alternative control alongside them.

The skip link does not work on five pages

Every page carries a "Skip to main content" link as the first item in the tab order. On five pages the target it points at is missing, so the link does nothing. Those pages are select a plan, confirm deletion, verify email, the page not found screen, and the application error screen. On the dashboard and legal pages the opposite problem occurs: the skip link is rendered twice, so you tab through two identical links.

The voice interview transcript is not announced

The voice consultation shows a live text transcript of everything said, and you can download it. The transcript region is not marked as a live region, so a screen reader will not read new lines out as they arrive. You would need to navigate to the transcript to find out what was said.

Three form fields have no proper label

The notification search box and the document search box rely on placeholder text alone, which disappears once you type and is not always read out. On the Google Docs picker, the visible "Document name" label is not programmatically connected to the field beneath it.

One section has its headings out of order

On the home page, the AI policy section places two subheadings before the heading they belong under. If you navigate by heading, that section will read oddly.

What does work

So that you can judge what to expect, these were checked and are in place across the site:

  • A visible focus outline on every element you can reach by keyboard, at 2 pixels with an offset so it is not clipped.
  • Reduced motion is respected. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off, in both the stylesheet and the animation library.
  • Dialogs, drawers and the mobile menu trap focus, close on Escape, wrap on Shift and Tab, and return focus to whatever opened them. This is covered by automated tests that operate them by keyboard rather than inspecting the markup.
  • Tabs keep an accessible name at every screen width, including narrow screens where the visible label is hidden.
  • The page language is declared as British English.
  • Navigation marks the current page, decorative icons are hidden from screen readers, and required fields and validation errors are connected to their inputs.
  • The one image in the application, the multi-factor authentication QR code, has a text alternative. There is no video or audio content that would need captions.
  • The voice consultation always produces a full text transcript that you can read and download, so the feature is usable without listening.

What we are doing about the problems

The contrast, keyboard and skip link items above are in our backlog and are being worked through. We are not going to give you a completion date we cannot stand behind. What we will commit to is that this page is updated when an item is fixed, and that a fix is not marked done until it is checked with a keyboard.

We also have a gap in how we catch these problems. Our automated checks cover focus traps and accessible names, but we do not yet run an automated accessibility scan over the whole site on every change. Adding one is part of the same work, because without it this list will keep being assembled by hand after the fact.

Tell us about a barrier

If you hit something on this site that you cannot use, we want to hear about it, including anything not listed above. Email support@getendorsed.co.uk. Telling us the page address and what you were trying to do helps us reproduce it quickly.

If you need something on this site in a different format, ask us at the same address and we will work out how to get it to you.

We aim to reply within five working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, say so in a reply and it will be looked at again by someone who did not handle it the first time.

You can also reach us through our contact page.

Technical information

We are committed to making this site accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 level AA.

This statement is based on a review of the site carried out by our own team on 8 September 2026. It combined a manual review of the code, keyboard testing of the main journeys, and calculated contrast ratios taken from the design tokens the site actually ships. It has not been audited by an independent third party, and we have not tested every page with every combination of screen reader and browser. Where this statement is silent about something, treat that as untested rather than as passing.

The problems listed above are the ones we found. There will be others we have not found yet, which is why the email address in the previous section matters.

This statement was prepared on 8 September 2026 and applies to getendorsed.co.uk.
